GROUP THERAPY
Channelyour inner
librarian and arrange
books alphabetically
or by category,
depending on your
needs. This kitchen
library is organized
by type of cuisine.
STORE-ALL
Keep small labeled
storage boxes on
the shelves to hold
stray recipe cards.
RESEARCH PERCH
Place a stool nearby
as a handy spot to
sit while you look
something up.
LABEL ME
Clearly marked
shelves make it
easier to put books
back in their proper
spots. Wooden craft
sticks,
below,
stuck
on with removable
mounting tape,
make clever (and
cheap) labels.
R ead ing R o o m
Unless you’re the rich aunt in a Jane Austen
novel, you probably don’t have your own private library. But that doesn’t
mean you can’t be surrounded by books. Put bookcases in different rooms
and fill them only with books you’re likely to use in that room: cookbooks in
the kitchen,
above
, novels in the bedroom, and reference books in the
office. Shelve by subject, add labels, and you’ve got yourself a library.
